Tall ships visit Toronto Waterfront
The arrival of tall ships to Toronto’s waterfront took place on the Canada Day weekend. It was a much-anticipated event amongst the many enthusiasts who wanted to see and experience the life on a sailing ship. This year’s ships included U.S. Brig. Niagara and Pride of Baltimore II, both reproductions of actual sailing ships that took part in the War of 1812. Visitors were able to go on board the vessels and speak with crew members and experience what it is like to be part of a crew on a sailing ship.
